On Thursday, 12.09.2024, we went to Blumen Mayerhofer in Herbrazhofen with all the trainees and the trainers from SycoTec. There we assembled soapboxes under the guidance of Chris. Afterwards we had lunch together.
We were divided into six teams. In these teams, we had to think about how exactly the soapbox worked and had to be assembled without any instructions. It was important to consider the correct order of assembly and the right choice of screws. The teams had problems with the steering, as this is very important but complicated to build. However, this promoted communication within the respective teams, as well as the helpfulness of the other teams.
Once the steering problems had been solved and the soapboxes were ready to go, each team was allowed to decorate their own car with chalk and colored tape and then push their soapbox up a small hill. From there, a one-on-one race was started. They were exciting races. After the races, we helped Chris dismantle the soapboxes.
At the end of the day, we drove back to Leutkirch, where we had lunch together in the Leutkirch Kulturbrauerei.
Conclusion of the excursion: It was a lot of fun and we were able to get to know each other better and strengthen our team spirit.
