When things get quirky, we take them even more seriously. Such as the production of taper cones. That’s because we perform contactless measurements with maximum resolution using the pneumatic taper nozzle measuring system from Mahr.
The measurement is taking under air pressure and is evaluated by a Milimar D1200X with the PLC software GESMES Win. Reproducible and loggable grinding results are therefore guaranteed and enable us to carry out high-precision internal cylindrical grinding of internal tapers for our spindle rotors.
Complex tapers are also given a final grinding directly on the mounted spindle. The new measuring technology therefore allows even more precise and efficient manufacturing. We can now also offer individual taper angles and diameters to address our customers’ requirements even better.
