At the beginning of the year, we presented you our latest high-frequency inverters – the e@syDrive® 4624, 4625 and 4626. High time then to take a look at the new operating software in more detail.
The most important details at a glance:
– fast, purposeful changes thanks to a clear layout
– online control for networked high-frequency inverters
– USB connection enables simple changes using a laptop or tablet
– Micro SD cards support offline programming
– gentle run-in and ensuring an optimal service life of new motor spindles by means of run-in programs
Simply clearer
Just a quick glance reveals the clear arrangement of the user interface. Six large, clearly illustrated buttons on the left-hand edge give access to the start page and the five sub-points of Motor data, Inputs/Outputs, Diagnostics, Spindle run-in and Flash update. All sub-menus are noted for having a uniform layout with distinctive section headings. The user doesn’t have to search long to find the right section in order to make the desired changes right away.
More flexibility
Another plus of the new software is its great flexibility. For example, all inputs can also be made online using an existing data connection. The only thing required to input the data is a USB connection to a laptop or tablet. Non-networked inverters can also be conveniently set up in a central location. It is sufficient to create the desired motor parameters offline and to save them on a Micro SD card. The use of memory cards also makes it possible to change rapidly between different parameters sets. As the SD cards also serve as fault logs, they offer a valuable resource for optimisation in operational use.
Integrated running-in programs
Individual running-in programs for different motor spindles can be launched via a dedicated sub-point. Taking into consideration the speeds and pause times recommended by the ball bearing manufacturer, the bearings can be ideally prepared for long-lasting and reliable operation.
Numerous options
Despite the clear user interface, there was no skimping on additional functions. Both STO functions (Safe Torque Off) and CAN-Bus interfaces are integrated for in-depth integration into existing machine concepts.
