FAQ
Is air flow strong enough to remove zirconia dust during milling process?
Yes, air flow is strong enough to blow out all particles during milling process when operated with standard zirconia milling speed around 20 – 25 000 rpm.
Is it possible to clean tool magazine and disc after milling process with stronger air flow?
Yes, very easy to realize. We recommend to increase speed for dedicated cleaning process. Recommended process as follows:
End of milling process – increase speed to 60 000 rpm – move around disc to clean disc – open tool magazine – move across tool magazine to blow out dust from tool magazine
Is it a problem if supplied air is not completely clean and contains dust from milling process?
Absolutely no issue. It is completely clear, that cabinet of dental milling machine is not completely protected from dust and that sucked air can contain huge amounts of zirconia particles. Bearings in spindle are protected against incoming dirt and will not be affected.
Lifetime investigation report is available as download and demonstrates durability in dirty environment.
What is expected life time of JETFAN?
The main body, which includes the clamping mechanism, electrical connections and an electric tool-changing system, is designed to be wear-free.
The JETFAN spindle unit has an expected service life of over 6,000 hours.
Lifetime investigation report is available as download on this page.
The main reason for the system’s long service life is its ability to operate independently:
- No negative external effect due to clamping bracket
- Good cooling via fan and spindle body
- Perfect sealing against dust
Is additional cooling necessary?
No, cooling via spindle housing and integrated fan is enough.
How reliable is SycoTec electrical tool change?
We deliver approx. 300 Spindles per month with electrical tool change and introduced in 2020. SycoTec electrical tool change is proven and sophisticated technology.
How is electrical tool change operated?
Details are available in Manual. Permanent supply voltage is 24V. Required power is max 48W (2A). Tool change is activated via 24 V digital signal (24 V = collet open / 0 V = collet clamped)
How reliable is SycoTec air free sealing?
SycoTec air free sealing in JETFAN is completely safe. Life time investigation report is visible on this page.
