UPDATE EDITION 03/2014 | A CURCUIT BOARD FOR ALMOST EVERYONE: COMPACT HIGH FREQUENCY INVERTER E@SYDRIVE® 4320

Low-voltage spindles have proven themselves as an ideal solution for particularly compact machine concepts. However, the small installation space places increased requirements on the design engineers. With the e@syDrive® 4320, we now offer a space-saving, high frequency inverter with impressive performance features to match our high frequency motor spindles with outstanding power density. Thanks to the compact structure with a single circuit board, it can be ideally integrated into individual electrical engineering designs. Despite its small size, the e@syDrive® 4320 impresses with eye-catching performance data. For example, the high frequency inverter enables the sensorless operation of synchronous and asynchronous motors at a speed of up to 120,000 rpm and an output power of around 600 VA. The “little one” gets by with dimensions of just 142 x 111 x 54 mm.
Particular focus was placed on two aspects during development: the least possible heating and convenient configuration. The latter is conveniently achieved with the aid of the available PC software drivemaster2: for asynchronous motors by means of v/f ratio, for synchronous motors using the basic data from the motor data sheets. A version that can be configured via a USB interface is optionally available.
The e@syDrive® 4320 also has all the interfaces necessary to ensure a smooth connection to the higher-level control. These include an analogue setpoint signal (+/- 10 V), two digital inputs, three digital outputs as well as RS232 and CAN-bus. The wide input voltage range from 24 – 80 V DC enables optimal adjustment to the supply voltage on the machine side and to the specific nominal voltage of the motor.
